Jason Puncheon
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has remained tight-lipped on the future of on-loan winger Jason Puncheon.
The Southampton man was one of the Lions’ standout players in the 1-1 draw with Portsmouth on Sunday, having a major hand in Liam Trotter’s opening goal.
Puncheon’s loan spell at the New Den is set to expire on January 3 but Jackett refused to be drawn on his future, insisting the side are focused on the hectic festive period.
“Puncheon is on loan for us and we’ll see,” he told me after the game.
“At the moment our focus is on the games that are coming up so quickly at the moment through up until about January 8th when we play Birmingham at home in the FA Cup. With those types of games you just sort of have to focus on those games.
“But, overall, in his loan spell – in his short loan spell with us – Jason Puncheon has played well.”
