A sports journalist with more than a decade of experience in the industry, currently working as Chief Football Writer for the Press Association.
I joined the national news agency of the UK and Republic of Ireland on its sport editorial traineeship in 2009, a few months after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class journalism degree.
After working across the departments, I became a London-based sports reporter for the Press Association – a role I held between 2011 and the end of 2015. I was appointed Chief Football Writer in February 2016, primarily covering Manchester United and England.
I worked as the Press Association’s sailing correspondent at London 2012 and covered the sport again at the Rio 2016 Olympics, as well as athletics, rowing and football.
